Loring Opera House and Theatre program collection. 1890-1923.

With well over 400 performances at the Loring Opera House over this 30 + year span, the programs in this collection contribute valuable insights to the history of entertainment and life in Riverside. They document what people were doing in their leisure time as well as showing who was involved in the booster efforts of promoting Riverside. Of special interest are the many famous names that graced the stage at the Loring Opera House and Theatre. Many of the programs in and of of themselves are works of art. Recently added to the collection, supplied by the San Bernardino County Archives, were copies to the Articles of Incorporation for the Loring Opera House and Superior Court Case #4188, San Francisco Theological Seminary Corp vs. Loring Opera House and the City of Riverside.
